“I am ready to deliver practical solutions and good outcomes. I believe in a fair go and will always stand up for education, healthcare, clean water and cheaper power bills.”
Kim Booth MP, Greens Member for Bass
Former sawmiller Kim Booth is the hardest-working politician in Bass. Kim has exposed corruption in the Tasmanian Government, uncovering the ‘old mates’ Tasmanian Compliance Corporation deal and the Shreddergate scandal.
Kim will always advocate for equitable access to education and healthcare. He works closely with families of children living with Aspergers for their A-Team program; has facilitated community forums about GP shortages, aerial spraying and pokies; and from day one has stood up for Dr Paul McGinity and his community.
Coming from a sawmilling background means that Kim Booth knows how to create more jobs with less logs: demonstrated by his radial sawmill proposal for Scottsdale. Kim Booth is the only member in Bass who voted in Parliament against the Gunns pulp mill proposal. He will ensure that we retain our clean air, that the marine environment is free of toxic effluent and that government never seizes private land for a company such as Gunns.
